Random Horse Picture.

This is from a While ago, like when in the first months of Photography.

This is a picture of Chase's Horse and then a Flower in the Horses pasture.
All I did was placed the flower on a new layer by going to File, Place and selecting the flower picture while I was already on the Horse picture.
I then double clicked the Flower layer making the Layer Style box pop up, and I changed the Blending modes to Overlay.
And I came out like this, I think it look super cool!!!

Picture worth a Thousand Words

This is the same tutorial but instead of using stamps I used Text Tool (T) and just went crazy on the keyboard to fill the whole page with letters.

So pretty much I followed the tutorial stap by step.
First thing was to pick a picture of yourself then go to, Select, Color range, and once the window popped up I selected Midtones and clicked ok, then I clicked CTRL+J and got a new layer with the midtones on it, I then labled it Midtones; I did the same thing again, but this time I went and selected Shadows instead of Midtones on the Color range window, I then named the new layer Shadows.
Next after that I Selected the Midtones layer and went to Edit, Fill; Once there I changed the Content use to 50% Gray, and clicked the  Preserve Transparency box, and then OK.
I again did the same with the Shadows layer except I changed the Content use to black. I then poked the eyes out of the background and merged the two visable layer (Midtones, Shadows).
Next I clicked the Create a New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. I pressed D to make my colors the default colors. I then pressed Ctrl-Backspace to make the new layer white. Then I  used Text Tool (T) and just went crazy on the keyboard to fill the whole page with letters.
Next I created a new layer and drug it above the Midtones layer. I then filled the layer with white by pressing CTRL+Backspace. Then I hid all the layers except the Midtones layer, and I clicked on the layer to make it active. I then pressed  CTRL+A to select all the pixels then I pressed CTRL+C to copy all the pixels.
Next I activted all the layers again a selected the Letter layer, clicked the Add Layer Mask icon on the bottom of the layer panel. I then clicked on the Layer Mask on the Letter layer by holding down ALT and clicking the Layer Mask. Then I pressed CTRL+V to paste the Midtones layer pixels onto the Layer Mask. Next I pressed CTRL+I to Invert the mask. I then clicked the Stamp picture icon.
I then added a Gradient Overlay to the Letter layer. To do that I clicked the add layer style icon (fx) on the bottom of the layer panel and clicked Gradient Overlay, I then double clicked the FX on the layer and changed the Blending Modes to Color burn, I also changed the Gradient to Rainbow, and lastly I changed the Angle to 79.
Then I was done! =]
I only had trouble with extracting the Midtones and Shadows, they kept selecting things in the background, so I took the Eraser Tool (E), and just erased the background things that it selected (and that weren't suppose to be selected).

Round two on Picture worth a Thousand Words

This is my brother, I first did the assinment on this because I didn't have a picture of me.

Next I clicked the Create a New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. I pressed D to make my colors the default colors. I then pressed Ctrl-Backspace to make the new layer white. Then I choose one of Casey's name brushes from Window,Brushes, I then selected Brush Tip Shape on the side option plannel thing, and  adjusted the Spacing so there was space between each word. Then under Shape Dynamics I used the Size Jitter and Angle Jitter to make the brush look cool. I then put stamps all over the new white layer, I used 5 stamps of Casey's name, and use the same steps as the first stamp.
Next I activted all the layers again a selected the stamp layer, clicked the Add Layer Mask icon on the bottom of the layer panel. I then clicked on the Layer Mask on the Stamps layer by holding down ALT and clicking the Layer Mask. Then I pressed CTRL+V to paste the Midtones layer pixels onto the Layer Mask. Next I pressed CTRL+I to Invert the mask. I then clicked the Stamp picture icon.
I then added a Gradient Overlay to the Stamps layer.

A Picture worth a Thousand Words

This are my Picture worth a Thousand words pictures. The one on the Left is just a bunch of letters. The one on the Right is a bunch of stamps of my name.

So pretty much I followed the tutorial stap by step.

Creation of Choice

This is my wonderful photo. Of Leah, Biancha, Valynncia, Alli, and Corrina (me). This was our girls night (GNO) out, we are at Wal-mart messing with some glasses.
Ok so I started with the background layer, I then took the brush tool (pressing B), I then selected the stamp of a plain black photograph, I next made a new layer (naming it Photo Stamps). At first I just made as many photo stamps that I could fit on the page, I then took the Marquee Tool (pressing M). I then made a box around the stamp and then went to Edit, Free Transform, and I then rotated the stamp which ever way. I did this will all the stamps I had made then more till I got that ^ look.
Next after a long fight with people I finally got the pucture I wanted. I kind of had a hard time getting the picture to look right, but after trying to drag it over from another document I ended up making a new layer (GNO) and then I went to File, Place, then selected the picture and then, I went to Edit, Free Tramsform, and made the picture bigger, so it was covering all the photo stamps. I next click the icon of the GNO layer and clicked select pixels and went to Curves: topdot- Input: 75 Output: 100. I then selected the GNO layer and right clicked the icon, and selected Creat Clipping Mask. I also did the same for the Curves layer. Next I again selected the GNO layer and went to Filter, Sharpen, Sharpen Edges. (thus creating a filter). I then made that layer into a Clipping Mask the same as I did to GNO and Curves layers, and also changed the layer opacity to21%.
Next I added some Text: LIVE  LAUGH LOVE.
I did each word on a different layer because originally I was going to do something different to each word but then I just ended up dont the same to each word. I used, Kunstler Script, size 125pt, and made it a darker green. I then use the Used the move arrow, but just going to the tool bar and clicking it, and I move all the word to the bottom of the picture. Next I went back to the background layer and made a black stroke around the border on the photo. Stroke: size 38px, Inside, blending mode Pin Light, opacity 100%, color Black. I then decided that I didnt like the background white, so I took the Paint Bucket Tool (pressing shift G) and selected a very light goldish-yellow, and clicked the whitebackground. Next I went to the Google on the Internet and looked up Rose clipart, I then found on and saved it to my documents. Finally I went back to Photoshop and went to File, Open, Selected the rose photo and clicked ok. Once I was on the rose document I clicked the Magis Easer Tool (by just clicking the tool bar). I then got rid of all the white by just clicking on the white area. I then split the screen to the two open documents and drug the rose over to the GNO picture. once on there I moved the layer to under the Photo Stamps layer so it wasnt on top of the picture. Next I went to Edit, Free Transform, and moved the rose to the right top corner and hit the Enter key. Next I copyed the Rose layer by having it selected and then hitting CTRL+J, then I went to Edit, Transform, Flip Horizontal, then I moved the second rose to the left top corner. Then I was Done! =]

I really like how the picture turned out. It looks like a photo collage, but only makes one picture instead of a collage with a bunch of different pictures.
