Personalized Postcard

This is my postcard!

The first this was to make the card 6x4 inches, Then I went to a different document, and made a brush.
To do it I Typed my name, using a font I liked, then I right clicked the layer icon and clicked select pixels,
Then I went to Edit, Define brush preset, and named it Corrina.
I then exited out of that document and went to my 6x4 and stamped my name is green on a new layer (Corrina), I then went to Edit, Free Tramsform and angled the stamp so it started from the bottom left corner to the top right corner, (whie holding the shift button the whole time),  Next, I went and downloaded puzzle stamps, and I picked out 8 that I, and started to put the stamps on all separate layers using the Brush Tool, Next I opened a bunch of different photos and resized then all to 3x2 inches going to Image, Image size. Then doing the same for all the pictures (one at a time though), after I resized the picture I then would split the screen so I could see the picture I wanted and the postcard, I then drug the picture layer over the the postcard document and exited out of the picture document, (so could see only the postcard) then I moved the picure layer above the puzzle piece I wanted to create a Clipping Mask for.
After the picture was above the right puzzle piece layer I then right clicked the picture layer icon and selected Create Clipping Mask this made the picture go behind the puzzle piece, but you were still able to see the picture through the puzzle piece shape, I then went to Edit, Free Transform and just moved the picture around and sometime changed the size of the picture (I did all those steps for all 8 puzzle pieces and pictures).
The last thing I did was, I opened a picture of really colorful flowers and I made the color of vibrante using the Vibrance, I then merged the visable layers together, then once again I split the screen, drug the layer if to the postcard and then exited out of the flower picture document, once on the postcard document I put the layer right after the Corrina (stamp) layer and created a Clipping Mask, by right clicking the icon and so forth. once I had the clipping mask created I when to Edit, Free Transform again and made the picture really big so it colored all the letter of my name, (I kind skewed the picture to, so it would only have the flowers and not the stuff around the flowers that were not colorful).

I think this postcard kinda explains me,(this going to sound corny, but) when you put all the puzzle pieces togther, this is what forms me, I'm kinda puzzling, I love my family, friends, nephews, my cat, horse backriding, and I love crazy bright colors. =]

Dodgeball Flier

This is my dodgeball flier (There is really going to be a Dodgeball tournament, so sign up!)

First: On a different document I fixed up the background picture of the gym,
I took Punky out of the picture using the Clone Stamp Tool (he was by the main door),
I also took out half the lights on the ground in front of the picture (I didn't take them all out cause it didn't look natural, so I left half of them there), then I re-sized the picture going to Image, to Image Size, then changing Document Size to 11x8.5,
Next thing I did was I slipt the screen so I could see the gym picture and the white paper of the flier, I then clicked the gym layer and drug it to the flier document,
So then I de-split the screen and exited out of the gym picture.

I next made a new text layer, and wrote DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT
Text:
Font Style: Copperplate Gothic Bold
Size: 48 pt, Color: Red, Extas: Bold, TT
{I added a Drop Shadow,}
Blending Mode: Normal, Color: Black, Opacity: 91%, Angle: 120, Distance: 12 px, Spread: 22%,
Size: 9 px, I didn't change the Quality.
I also copied the text layer got rid of the FX, then added a Sketch filter,
Style: Graphic pen, Stroke Length: 15, Light/dark Balance: 48%, Stroke Direction: Right Diagonal
I then hit ok to apply it, and then changed the layers Opacity to 27%.

I also wrote (on a new layer), $30 PER TEAM (5 PEOPLE PER TEAM),
Text:
Font Style: Arial
I had to different Font sizes, The bigger Size is 36 pt and the smaller is 21 pt,
Color: Yellow-Orange (Goldish)
{I added a Stoke}
Size: 2 px, Position: outside, Blending mode: normal, Opacity: 100%, Color: Black.

After I had the text and the background together I then started to act stamps that I made on a seperate document, I did have some problems with the pictures that I was making the stamps out of being copy-righted... So I ended up looking for some free stamps on line that were for commercial uses.
After that big ordeal, I started with the kids and mat in front of the flier.

At first I had a kid throwing a ball from behind the mat (but the whole copy-right thing...),
so I had the mat on a different document and I used the Magic Wand and Quick Select Tool to select all the mat. I had to keep changing the Tolerance on the Magic Wand to get it to select most of the yellow of the mat, I then used the Quick Select Tool to get the rest of the mat, I came across a problem with not being able to not select some of the floor, so instead I made sure all the mat was selected and then pressed Ctrl+J, to get it on a new layer, then I took the background easer and took off the stuff around the mat that I couldnt get off with the Quick Select Tool. Then I put a dropshadow on the mat (still on a seperate document),
Blending Mode: Normal, Opacity 75%, Angle: 87, Distance: 16 px, Spread: 6%, Size: 24 px,
I then had to make the picture size to 11x8.5 (using the same way as I did with the gym picture), other wise the mat would have been JUMBO on the flier and it would have been kinda hard to down size it.
Next though I split the screen so I could see the Gym and the Mat, then drug the new layer with inly the mat and drop shadow to the flier document. After it was on the Flier page, I returned the screen to normal on the Flier and moved the mat to the bottom left corner.

After the mat and after I downloaded the silhouette stamps, I took two that I thought would fit by the mat and, placed then there using the Brush Tool, I also had to resize them so the looked porportioned with the mat and were they were standing on the floor. I took a kid that was cruching down in front or the mat and a new layer (front kid), and I put a kid that looked like they were throwing a ball behind the mat on new layer (kid throwing ball), I then took the Mat layer, right clicked the picture icon thing, and clicked select pixels, then I used the Curves tool on the mat to brighten it up, Top Dot: output: 255 input: 191, I also added another ball that I had in the stamps I downloaded, it looked like it was flying in the air so I put that in front of the wildcat (trying to make it look like the one kid threw it).
Next I rearranged the the layers so they were:
Kid throwing ball, Mat, curves (for mat), front kid, flying ball.

After that I started to add kids in the back of the gym, First I added the kid in the middle (on a new layer, [kid about to get hit]), using one of the stamps I downloaded, I resized it to way small, till I thought it looked about the right porportion, then opened a picture of a yellow ball I had taken a picture of, on a new document, I took the Elliptical Marquee Tool and placed it over the ball pressing shift and occasonally the space button to move the circle so it fit perfect around the ball, I then pressed Ctrl+J and made a new layer (yellow ball), I resized the picture to 11x8.5 (same way I did for the Mat and Gym), then split the screen to the flier and yellow ball and drug the ball layer to the flier, I kept the ball selected went up to Edit, Free Transform, the I pressed Shift (so the ball didnt change shape, only size), and I made the ball super small so it looked like the kid was about to get hit with it. I then right clicked the yellow ball layer icon and clicked Select Pixels, then I went to curves and changed the top dot: output: 255, input: 232. Next I put the kid a kid on the left (in the back) on a new layer (kid just standing), I did the same as the other kid, I made him porportionate to where he was standing, then I opened a different picture of a red ball on a different document, and took the Elliptical Marquee Tool and used the shift and space button to make it fit around the red ball, I then hit Ctrl+J to make a new layer, next I split the screen again, and drug the red ball layer over to the Flier document. Next I went to edit, free transform (while the ball was still selected) then resized the ball to super small, while also holding the shift button, next I renamed the ball layer, ball on floor. The next kid is standing on the side lines (he is out), on a new layer (sidelines), I also took him from the stamps I downloaded, I resized him, and then selected the pixels and went to edit-transform-perspective, and turned him so it looked like he was facing the court. Next I took everything I had done so far on the flier and went to curves and adjusted it to Output: 255, Input 227.

The last thing I did was add the DECEMBER 22ND on to the bottom.
Text:
Style: Arial Rounded MT Bold, Size 72pt, Color: Red, I made the ND a little higher than the 2 also.
I then added a drop shadow and changed the blending mode of the text,
Blending Mode: Overlay
Dropshadow:
Blending mode: Liner Burn, Opacity: 100%, Angle: 72, Distance: 11, Spread: 52, Size: 3, Color: Blank.

Finally I was done! I had most problems with my stamps being copy-righted, after I had already put then on and was almost finished with the flier... =/ I also found out if you do a drop shadow in one thing then another the angle of the drop shadow is the same even if you try to change it. All in all I enjoyed making the flier.

And I hope lots of people come to the tournament!!
