Choice #One

This is an Old Truck, taken Oct 31, 4:00 p.m.
Location: Chase's House
Mode: Auto, No Flash.

This is the edited Old Truck.

I first took the Clone Stamp Tool on a new layer and took out,
The Tree in front of the truck,
The branch on the side of the truck,
Ans also I took out the oil carton off of the rock.
I then (with the same tool) went and took out the rust on the side door,
removed the yellow on the mud flap,
took out the antenna (it looked wierd to me),
I also took the red out of the corner by the rocks, the bar out of the side mirror, and the white thing on the side of the window,
Then I went to Hue/Saturation,
Master: +4, 0, 0
Red: 0, +35, 0
Yellow 0, +10, 0
I then went and messed with the Curves and changed then to,
Red: Bottom 2, 8 Top 255, 255
Green: Bottom 3, 25 Top 255, 234
Blue: Bottom 8, 13 Top 232, 235.
Then I was done. =]

I like the edited photo better because the focus is on the truck, without the tree, branch, oil, and the stuff wrong with the truck. I also like that the color is more vibrant.

Landscape

This is the football field, taken November 5, 10:45
Location: School
Mode: Auto

This is the edited photo.

First I went and used the Clone Stamp Tool and filled in the dirt spot on the right,
I also took out the sun glare spots and the light pole at the top left,
next I went to Curves and did Bottom dot Output 10, Input 25, Top dot Output 255, Input 243,
I also messed with the Level 9, 0.84, 226,
Lastly I changed the Hue/Saturation to 0, +27, 0.

This is Landscape because the horizon is in the top 3rd of the photo.

I like this picture better than the unedited photo cause the colors are more vibrant and you dont have the sun spots distracting the eye.

This is the morning sky, taken Oct 29, 7:58 a.m.
Location: End of my road (heading to school)
Mode: Photo camera (auto)

Edited sky photo.

I first cropped the photo to take out the road (even though you can't really see it),
I then when and changed the Highlight and Shadows to make the photo lighter,
Next I used the Clone Stamp Tool to take out the road sign,
Then I went to Curves changed the Top dot to Output 255, Input 211.

This is Skyscape because the horizon is on the bottom 3rd.

I like this photo better because its not so dark and you can acutally see the colors the way they were not on camera. I like that the sign isn't there now because it was distracting.

Scale

This is a sidewlk, taken Nov 5, 10:20 a.m.
Location: School
Mode: Auto, No Flash

This is the edited photo.

I first made a new layer,
on the new layer I took the Clone Stamp Tool and took out all the little holes i the side walk,
then I make another new layer and filled out the heart using the Clone Stamp Tool,
I also (on the same layer) took out the building using the same tool,
After I did all my cosmetic work I went to Hue/Saturation,
Master: +9, +56, +2
Blues: +29, +61, +6

I think this is scale becasue there is a small heart on this big 4ft sidewalk.

I really like this photo's angle, and I like that I made the heart more filled in , you can see it better now.

Lines

This is a Gate, taken Oct 31, 3:52 p.m.
Location: Chase's House
Modes: Auto, No Flash.

This is the edited photo.

First I made a new layer, Then I went and messed with the Shadows/Highlights,
The next layer I made, I took the Clone Stamp Tool to take out the grain bucket, and yellow electric wire holders on the left post,
After that I went to Hue/Saturation,
Master: +6, +28, 0
Reds: 0, +28, 0
Yellow: 0, -40, 0
Green: 0, -45, 0
Cyan: 0, -18, 0
Blues: 0, -43, 0
Magentas: 0, -30, 0
I wanted the red to pop out more so that's why I turned the saturation down (the middle number) on all the colors.

I like the edited photo better cause even though I de-saturation all the colors they are more vibrant, because messed with the Shadow/Highlights. You can also we the red on the gate better.

Diagonal Rule

These are Logs, taken Oct 31, 3:52.
Location Chase's Log pile.
Modes: Auto, With Flash.

This is the edited photo.

In the one I remimbered to make different layers, so thats what I did at first,
After I made Layer 1(new layer) I used the Magic Wand Tool and outlined the logs,
I then Erased the logs,
after that I took Hue/Saturation on Layer 1 and put the saturation at -100,
Than I poked out the background eye and merged the two visable layers (Layer1, Hue/Saturation),
Then I put the eye back on the background layer,
I selected the background layer and used Hue/Saturation,
with saturation at +37.

Even though I didn't do much to the edited photo, what I did do helps you focus on logs.
I like the edited photo better because the logs stand out better, and since there is kinda a lot of stuff behind the logs (it now being BW,) you can focus on the log more.

Architecture

This is Chase's Barn, taken Oct. 31, 3:46 p.m.
Location: Chase's house.
Mode: Auto, No Flash.

This is the edited photo.

As you can see I did a lot to the picture.
First I took the Clone Stamp and fixed the barn up (fixed the side and add a window),
I then went and took out the shaddows of the other building and mine,
took the couch out,
and I messed up with the tall grass by the hay bail ( and since I totally forgot to may different layers),
I had to improvise and make a new bail next to the original bail.

I learned my lesson ALWAYS MAKE NEW LAYERS!!!!!! =]

After I was done with the cosmetic things, I went and fixed up the coloring,
by using Curves, top dot at Output 255 and Input 242, then the bottom dot at Output 0 and Input 21,
After that I uses Hue/Saturation at
Master +6, +16, -3
Reds -10, +2, -17
Greens -32, +29, 0
and
Cyans +6, +26, 0

I like the edited photo better cause there isn't all the stuff laying around and the barn looks better in full with out the broken side. I also like the power line gone cause it was kinda distracting.
